Job description :
VIA Software engineering engineer - development of information systems for accessing data from National Observation Services in environmental science M/F Under the supervision of 3 researchers (2 in the north, 1 in the south) and an engineer, you will be responsible for setting up observations of vegetation data (biomass, leaf index, height) and soil carbon for ecosystems observed by stations measuring water and CO2 exchange between the soil and the atmosphere. Your activities will consist of: Organizing and implementing measurement protocols in collaboration with the Instrument Managers of the water and CO2 flux stations Carrying out field measurements at the southern (Dangbo) and northern (Djougou) sites in Benin Accompanying technicians at remote sites in their observations Implementing an automatic data critique procedure in collaboration with the Instrument Manager in Benin Ensuring the operation of all flux stations in Benin Presenting results to partners Occasionally participating in other observatory activities.

You have developed the following skills: Graduated from an engineering school or scientific university, the candidate must have a background in ecohydrology or metrology (physical measurements) Good knowledge of the continental water cycle and/or carbon cycle Aptitude for instrumentation and experimental protocols Aptitude and motivation for field work in a tropical climate Autonomy on basic IT tools, including data processing Technical English You demonstrate the following human qualities: Organizational skills, autonomy and thoroughness Good interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team, particularly with partners in the South Ability to communicate and organize exchanges with communities from a variety of disciplines (computer scientists, hydrologists, ecologists, etc.).)
